Why doesn't Curley's wife have a name? (character)

When most females get married, they’re proud to show off and tell everyone their new name. But, in Of Mice and Men, there’s one wife that doesn’t really tell everybody her name. According to everyone on the ranch, she’s known as “Curley’s Wife”. She’s also known as being a flirt or a “tart”, which is the name that most people know her as. Most people don’t care to find out what Curley’s wife’s name is because they think she’s no good, which is why everybody gossips about her. The main reason why most people don’t talk to her is because her husband, Curley, is very protective of her and doesn’t let anyone in the ranch talk to her, which is why he’s always isolated from everyone else by staying in the farm house all day. But, once everyone gets a chance to get to know her, they’ll all figure out that she’s not a “tart”, but she’s just a regular human being that just wants someone to talk to.
