What characters do George and Lennie remind you of ? (continued)

“You can’t compare cartoons to reality”. This is a quote that’s most said to children by their parents. But have you ever stopped to think that maybe you actually can compare cartoons to reality? Did you ever think of comparing Lennie and George to the characters Billy and Grim from the cartoon show “The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy”? Well, you can compare these characters to each other because they have a lot in common with each other. The characters both have somebody that they take care of and someone that they both need a lot in order for them not to be lonely.
Like George takes care of Lennie, Grim takes care of Billy when he baby sits him. Lennie and Billy are both a little bit “slow” and need some extra assistance because if Billy didn’t have Grim and if Lennie didn’t have George, the both would go down the wrong path by making bad decisions
George and Lennie are friends, as well as Billy and Grim. Even though Billy and Lennie both get on their friend’s nerves, they all love being around each other because they are their companions and they all need each other.
Even though all of the characters get into trouble, somehow with the help of their friends, they always get out of it. For example, when Lennie was accused for raping a female in the town Weed, it was George’s idea to run away and find a new place to stay at. Also, whenever Billy gets into trouble at school or at home, usually, Grim gets him out of the trouble.
Like best friends, Lennie and George and Billy and Grim are very close to each other. They all need each other and they all love each other, even though they might not want to admit it all the time.

Why doesn't Curley's wife have a name? (character)

When most females get married, they’re proud to show off and tell everyone their new name. But, in Of Mice and Men, there’s one wife that doesn’t really tell everybody her name. According to everyone on the ranch, she’s known as “Curley’s Wife”. She’s also known as being a flirt or a “tart”, which is the name that most people know her as. Most people don’t care to find out what Curley’s wife’s name is because they think she’s no good, which is why everybody gossips about her. The main reason why most people don’t talk to her is because her husband, Curley, is very protective of her and doesn’t let anyone in the ranch talk to her, which is why he’s always isolated from everyone else by staying in the farm house all day. But, once everyone gets a chance to get to know her, they’ll all figure out that she’s not a “tart”, but she’s just a regular human being that just wants someone to talk to.

What do Candy's dog and the puppies represent? (symbol)

What is the difference between spring and winter? No, the answer isn’t that spring is the time for flip-flops and winter when everybody gets ready for their winter coats. Actually, the difference between spring and winter is that spring represents life and a new beginning and winter represents death or life coming to an end. These are the two symbols that the dogs represent in Of Mice and Men. The puppies at the farm represent a new, fresh start to life and Candy’s old sheep dog represents life coming to an end.

Do you think Lennie fears George? (conflict)

I don’t believe that Lennie fears George, but what I do believe is that Lennie has much respect for George. Lennie respects George because George is the only “family like” person in his life. Lennie might feel that if he doesn’t listen to George, he’ll leave him and then Lennie won’t have anyone else to be with. For example, Lennie had a dead mouse inside of his pocket and when George told him to give the mouse to him, George did it what he told him to do. Listening to George doesn’t show Lennie fearing him, but it shows him listening / obeying him.

Do Lennie and George remind you of any other dual?

Dynamic dual. When hearing this catch phrase, one usually thinks of Batman and Robin. But did you ever consider that a dynamic dual could be compared to SpongeBob and Patrick? Well actually, you can compare George and Lennie to SpongeBob and Patrick. Even though Lennie and Patrick are goofy, SpongeBob and George are leaders and they take care of them both.

On the show SpongeBob SquarePants, SpongeBob and Patrick live in different homes but they both live in the same neighborhood, which makes them very close. They hang with each other daily and whenever the two get into any trouble, SpongeBob is the one that usually gets them out of it.

Like SpongeBob and Patrick, George and Lennie are also close. Instead of living near each other, the two actually live with each other. Lennie and George’s closeness might be compared to father and son as opposed to SpongeBob and Patrick, whose closeness might be more like brothers. Lennie and Patrick both look up to their pals because they know that they won’t lead them down the wrong path.

Just like SpongeBob is Patrick’s companion, Lennie is George’s companion. If SpongeBob didn’t have Patrick as a friend, he would probably not be as happy and if George didn’t have Lennie as a partner, he’d be lonely because Lennie keeps him company, even though he doesn’t want to admit it.

George and Lennie are very close companions, as well as SpongeBob and Patrick. George and SpongeBob both have somebody that they hang around with and Lennie and SpongeBob both have somebody that they can look up to. If we think about it, without Lennie and George, there wouldn’t be SpongeBob and Patrick because Lennie and George were the first popular dynamic dual. So in actuality, it wouldn’t be Patrick needing SpongeBob, it would be SpongeBob and Patrick needing Lennie and George.
