What do Candy's dog and the puppies represent? (symbol)

What is the difference between spring and winter? No, the answer isn’t that spring is the time for flip-flops and winter when everybody gets ready for their winter coats. Actually, the difference between spring and winter is that spring represents life and a new beginning and winter represents death or life coming to an end. These are the two symbols that the dogs represent in Of Mice and Men. The puppies at the farm represent a new, fresh start to life and Candy’s old sheep dog represents life coming to an end.
